Eric Gomez is serving as a congressional fellow in the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
Eric is an established international security analyst with expertise in nuclear weapons, missile defense, and strategic stability issues in East Asia. He comes to the Horizon Fellowship from the Cato Institute, where he worked in a variety of roles since August 2015, most recently as Senior Fellow. Eric has widely published on regional security issues and is focused on deepening his knowledge of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies. His professional background includes extensive research and analysis on strategic matters affecting U.S. interests in the Asia-Pacific region. Eric earned his undergraduate degree from SUNY Geneseo in 2013 and his master’s degree from Texas A&M University in 2015.
