Harrison Durland is serving as a congressional fellow in Senator Banks’ office.
Harrison has a master’s degree in Security Studies from Georgetown, where he co-founded and led the Georgetown Responsible AI Network (RAIN). His research focus and interests primarily revolve around AI policy, with special focuses in US-China competition. He has worked on these issues at the Forecasting Research Institute, Lawrence Livermore National Lab, the Centre for the Governance of AI, RAIN, and in internships at think tanks including the Hudson Institute and American Enterprise Institute. Before shifting to focus on technology and security policy in 2019, Harrison was studying to work as an intelligence analyst focused on Russian security issues.
