James Ostrowski

AI Fellow, Congressional Track

James Ostrowski is serving as a congressional fellow in the office of Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO).

 

Previously, James was a Research Fellow at Abundance Institute, where he focused on emerging technology and AI policy, and worked as Chief of Staff at Reality Defender, a deepfake detection startup. His writing on AI and technology has been published by NATO, Lawfare, and The New Atlantis, and has been cited in U.S. Senate hearings. James holds a JD from the University of Washington School of Law. During law school, he worked at the Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Policy and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, addressing issues at the intersection of law, technology, and national security.
