Kelvin Yu

Emerging Technology Fellow, Executive Branch Track (2024-2025); Congressional Track (2023-2024)

Kelvin Yu is a Fellow in Residence as he pursues an executive branch fellowship. During his first fellowship term, he was a congressional fellow with the House Science Subcommittee on Research and Technology (majority staff).

He is interested in novel federal levers to advance technological progress, creating better public institutions, and transitioning scientific research into real-world applications. He is also a Non-Resident Fellow at the Foundation for American Innovation and previously led AI policy on the House Science Committee. Before moving to DC, he was the first engineer at two startups and an early-stage investor in Silicon Valley. Kelvin studied Computer Science and International Relations at Princeton University.
