Chinmay Deshpande is doing a think tank fellowship at the Center for Democracy & Technology.
Chinmay graduated from Harvard College in May 2024, where he studied mathematics and philosophy. He was the Co-Director of Governance Programs for the Harvard AI Safety Team, through which he ran an introductory AI policy fellowship program. In the past, he has conducted research at the Stanford Center for International Security and Cooperation, investigating emerging threats from AI-enabled disinformation campaigns, and at the intersection of machine learning and moral psychology at Harvard’s Moral Psychology Research Research Lab. He was a member of the editorial board of The Harvard Crimson.
