Elika Somani is serving as an Executive Branch fellow at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s Information Innovation Office.
Previously, Elika was an AI Research Project Specialist at RAND, where she worked at the Technology and Security Policy Center and the Meselson Center, focusing on the governance of artificial intelligence and biological threats. She was also a fellow at the NIH, where she focused on biosecurity policy and bioethics. Her work experience spans biosecurity policy, global health and development, institutional decision-making, and project management. She holds a B.A. in Global Health and Development from Macalester College.
